  • Overview

    This position is responsible for all OE brake NVH product sales for the North and South American Markets.  The overall responsibility is to provide leadership to the present engineering sales staff (3) to reach company objectives and goals. Develop long-term relationships with strategic customers to further strengthen our business position. Work closely with internal management to achieve business success.

    Responsibilities

    • Operate as the senior point of contact for all matters specific to brake customers
    • Manage and direct activities for present sales engineering team
    • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
    • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts and customers.
    • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
    • Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
    • Forecast and track key account metrics
    • Determine annual budget by analyzing current business trends and results.
    • Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and establishing sales targets.
    • Identify new growth areas and develop strategy to execute.
    • Develop strategy and position the sales team to expand existing accounts.
    • Negotiate strategic partnerships with focus on customer growth through commercial and engineering resources.
    • Participate in industry groups and committees.

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience

    • BA/BS degree required
    • Understanding of braking systems and/or NVH required
    • A minimum of 8 years of proven automotive brake (i.e, foundation brake, friction, insulator) related engineering, sales and/or management experience
    • Previous sales experience preferred

    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
    • Meeting Sales Goals and Motivating, Coaching, and Mentoring Sales Staff
    • Sales / Budget Planning and Forecasting
    • Managing Internal Tracking and Measurement Systems
    • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
    • Travel - 10% overnight
