  • Overview

    Test Technician position will deal with internal and external customers, develop test hardware and perform requested testing. Interpret data and draw conclusions, reporting in various formats.  Which may include formal reports or in formal updates to customers. Strong understanding of hydraulic, electrical and data acquisition systems. Communication and problem-solving skills are key.  


    • Follow and perform test setup operation and disassembly as defined in pre-written company test procedures and customer request
    • Create and record data files and communicate data as needed.
    • Prepares, measures, and evaluates test samples for the purpose of performing testing to determine product life in terms of fluid compatibility, and resistance to wear and thermal changes.
    • Perform maintenance on hydraulic systems, electrical systems and other industrial equipment.
    • Participate and communicate with inter-company personnel in support of project activities.
    • Support investigation / interpretation of product failure analysis and test results.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Other duties as assigned by manager


    Education and Experience

    • Bachelors degree required, prefer MET, Mech Eng or Physics, other relevant engineering disciplines
    • Self-directed work attitude
    • Knowledge of Hydraulic systems and components preferred
    • Knowledge of electrical systems and circuit design preferred
    • Knowledge of fixture design. Preferred
    • Reporting writing experienced preferred
    • Knowledge and experience with MS office and other related Microsoft programs required
    • Experience with data acquisition systems is a plus


    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Mechanical aptitude, hands on mind set
    • Ability to interact with cross functional teams
    • Identify failure modes within sealing systems, hydraulic and electrical systems
    • Travel - 5%
